Preowned Brodix 4.25" Stroke BBC Short Block+ – MGP Rods, Callies Ultra Boost, 60mm Cam & Dry Sump
This is a preowned high-end Big Block Chevy short block+ built around a Brodix low deck block with a 9.800 inch deck height and a Callies Ultra Boost billet crankshaft with 4.250 inch stroke.
The rotating assembly uses custom anodized Diamond pistons and MGP aluminum connecting rods. The engine also features a custom Cam Motion 60mm camshaft in a +.400 inch raised cam location, an RCD gear drive with cam trigger and fuel pump drive, 0.937 inch bushed Isky keyway lifters and a Moroso dry sump oil pan.
This engine has a proven racing history. this short block was part of the engine combination that won Sick Week 2026 in the USA.
The engine has completed 16 passes since receiving new connecting rods, bearings and piston rings. The pictures in the listing are from when we originally assembled the engine. The engine has since been refreshed by the owner.
High Performance Engine Combination
This is not a standard production-style Big Block Chevy short block. It is a purpose-built racing combination using premium components and extensive block and rotating assembly modifications.
The block has been threaded and plugged in the deck for a dry-deck style setup. The plugs can be removed if the engine is to be run with coolant flowing through the block and cylinder heads.
A rollerized thrust bearing has also been machined into the block and crankshaft to reduce thrust friction in demanding high-load racing applications.
