This is a used OEM-style GM LS 806 cylinder head. The 806 casting is an early cathedral port LS cylinder head commonly associated with LS1 and early Gen III LS-based engines.
806 heads are a factory LS cathedral port head often used for stock replacement, repair work and early LS1-style builds. They are not as sought after as later 243 or 799 heads, but they are still a useful OEM GM casting for many LS applications where the early head design is required.
One important difference with 806 heads is the early perimeter bolt valve cover design. These heads do not use the later center bolt LS valve covers, so make sure you have the correct valve covers, coil bracket setup and related parts for this style of cylinder head.
